OMG! I can not believe you this question. Believe me, I purchased AVG and Panda Panda and is much better. If you reviews of AVG, read as elsewhere http://www.pcmag.com/ will tell you that time not long ago. I do not know if Panda is the best, but I had a lot of experience with multiple anti-virus and Panda is the best by far.
